Weekend in NYC

As I walked around NYC this weekend, I could help thinking of the paintings of Suerat.
The common theme of everyday people enjoying the park on a day off. I thought it was a interesting reflection on time and history? So much has changed but not really at all.

It was fun to manipulate with these images to create what I was seeing in my head. One thing I think disturbing to me in these painting which I Completely appreciate is the colors.
The mix of aqua, baby blue, pink, magenta, acid greens and bright yellow is really intriguing to me.
Its also a great reminder that a color you see is made of so many other colors... and feelings.

Seurat has been always one of my favorite painters. I really love all the colors in the photos. Good work.
