Falafel Pita Végétarienne

I am so in LOVE with these now in Paris...Down the street from my apartment is Falafel Cafe and they do Fabulous emporter!:-) 
So I get the vegetarian pita with Falafel ... hummus, lettuce, tomato, marinated red onions, cilantro, mint, tahini, falafel, grilled eggplant,and a couple of olives on Pita!!! SO GOOD! 
They also make a Galette Libanaise Zaatar Extra but the galette machine for the fresh dough is broken today:-(..so I don't have any pictures but they roll out fresh dough and cover it with olive oil and zaatar and cook it on the dome shaped grill, fill it, roll it to eat, also Amazing. 
I want to remember these delicious flavors when I cook at home!

Astier de Villatte et Maison & Objet

Wow! Astier de Villatte is just so incredible! 

I was really blown away by their presentation at Maison & Objet show. They constructed a full store inside the hall! But unlike others it was a real vision, charming, romantic, playful and beautiful like their brand. 

RER Back into Paris

Every time I ride the train into Paris there are so many interesting little places with all kinds of art,  graffiti...and tagging somehow different than what I see in NYC or LA. 

When I was coming back from Maison Objet I thought I would try to catch some as we ride along.... after what seemed like a million attemps I was so happy to have this one :-) 

Maison Objet Mariska Meijers

 I was able to meet up with Amsterdam-based artist and designer Mariska Meijers and see her exciting and colorful  collections. 

Being a multi-talented artist , She had an exciting exhibit at Maison & Objet with so much sophistication style and color. It is no wonder her cubism pillow were displayed in the inspiration and beyond exhibit at Maison & Objet.

Maison Baccarat

Thank you so much to the illustrious Interior Designer Cristina Hadzi !!!! 
She mentioned a Party at Maison Baccarat while I was in Paris and asked if I would like to attend in her place....Uh DUH!!! YES!
 I invited a Parisian Friend to come with so I wouldn't be too out of place.
 It was an evening of decadence and opulence, of Crystal and Champaign.

I really wanted to take my Champaign glass but thought that would be rather uncivil...;-)

Preparing for 2014

Fabric inspiration Pillows

Well aren't I crafty! 
You might remember that this is the African Fabric I brought back from Paris and had a shirt made .... well It was a large piece of Fabric and I was so inspired by the border....the printing, dying and design I wanted to use it in someway ...So I made pillows

Now don't look too close... I am no expert seamstress but I have been known to make a couple of garments back in the day
I couldn't be happier and they are a so comfortable and beautiful

I guess if I wear my shirt to bed I might need sea sick pills!
